For the dimensions you need, the spacing of the opening between the arms of the # DM05593-97 is 2 inches. As far as the width of the holes, Demco unfortunately does not have the exact diameter. However, they did say that the holes were designed to use a 5/8mm bolt.
I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows the measurement of the spacing you need. view full answer...

I have a solution for you but the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit item # BWGNXA2061 is a high rise type gooseneck ball that sits up higher than a standard ball so it can not be used with 5th wheel hitches like the Demco Recon item # DM8550045 that you referenced.
Instead, I recommend using the Curt Ball and Safety Chain Loop Kit for Chevy item # C38CR. view full answer...

Since your 2021 Chevy Silverado has the shorter bed and the factory puck system, I highly recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3775 you were looking at. The Companion Slider has a 20,000 lbs capacity and will give you 12" of travel for making tight turns and backing.
The Companion's 1" thick dual jaws will give you a 360-degree jaw to kingpin contact. This system minimizes the chucking, jarring and noise that can occur when towing a fifth wheel trailer.... view full answer...
Welcome back! The Timbren Spacer Kit item # T68MR is exactly what you need. They have a 3/8" bolt hole opening that will work with the Timbren item # TGMRCK25D you purchased awhile ago. Timbren recommends a 1" gap between the jounce spring and your axle. view full answer...
No, sorry you can't. The head of the B&W Patriot Slider item # BWRVK3270 is different then the Companion and not compatible. Also none of the puck system adapters that provide an industry standard base are compatible with the Patriot because of how low the slider base is.
To use a B&W sliding hitch in your new 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500 with the factory puck system you will need the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3775. view full answer...
The inner diameter of the Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # 9480 is compatible with the standard 2-5/16" hitch ball while the outer diameter of the round adapter measures 2-19/32. I confirmed this with my contact at Draw-Tite and attached a photo for you to reference as well. view full answer...
If you're getting that much bounce out of your trailer that would lead me to believe that maybe the MORryde IS suspension system is the actual issue. Typically if the suspension is too stiff you'll start to bounce. We see this issue a lot when people install Timbrens on their vehicles. You'll hit a bump in the road and the rubber is so stiff that when the frame hits the spring it ends up absorbing the shock instead of the spring giving you a rough ride. We haven't seen much of the IS yet... view full answer...
We do have the Firestone Red Airbags part # 2709. It is the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F2709. These air bags are confirmed to fit the 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500. It includes all necessary mounting brackets and hardware to install on your Silverado.
To operate the airbags from inside your truck, I recommend using the Firestone Air Command I item # F2097. This kit comes with an air compressor, single path controller, and all other airlines and fittings... view full answer...
The 5th wheel hitch that fits your 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500 8 foot long bed with the OEM puck system and has the highest towing capacity - 31,000 lbs - is a hitch from Demco:
- Demco UMS Double Pivot 5th Wheel Hitch # DM47GV
The # DM47GV will mount right in your Chevy's pucks and give you more towing capacity than any other hitch on the market. view full answer...
I was able to find the weight for you of the Curt A30 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C16070, which is 145 lbs.
The head unit is nearly 100 lbs with the legs making up the rest of the weight. And while it's heavy, there is a 1-pin removal system for the head unit to make it somewhat easier to remove the hitch from your truck bed, though a helper would likely be a good idea.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Curt... view full answer...
The Lippert Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC158778 is intended to replace either of two specific OEM pin boxes, a Lippert 1621 or 1621HD, and measures 28-11/16-inches from the rear outside edge of the mounting plates to the center of king pin. You can see this in the linked photo and compare to your current pin box.
This king pin includes an air spring and shock that will eliminate much of the chucking and road shock you feel now with your OEM pin box and not only will it cushion... view full answer...
The ball height for gooseneck hitch # RP30158 is approximately 4 inches (3-7/8) from the bed and is most definitely the lower option between it and gooseneck plate # RP30845 which is going to sit on top of the bed and to the top of the ball measures 7-1/2 inches.
If it were me I would go with the installation kit # RP30868 with the gooseneck hitch # RP30158 for a clean install. Once it is all installed the bed can be clear by just removing the ball instead of having to remove the whole... view full answer...
The difference between the 1621 and the 1621SHD is weight capacity and how many bolts is required to mount it. The 1621 uses 4 bolts for mounting. The 1621SHD requires all 6 bolts to be used. view full answer...
